Outstanding summer results!

September 5, 2007

Hello everyone – hope you had as pleasant a summer as me and my family did, and of course that you are ready for hard work over the coming year.

I want to congratulate all of you who took Economics A Level, AS Level and Business this year. The results were excellent and it is very gratifying as a teacher to see so many pupils do so well.

At A Level there were 11 pupils. The results were 2 A, 4 B, 3C, 2D. There were no E or U. Congrats to all of you.

At AS Level there were 19 pupils. The results were remarkable. There were 13 A, 1B, 2C, 1D, 2U. Thirteen achieving grade A is just brilliant.

In IGCSE Business Studies there were 16 pupils. the breakdown was 2A*, 4A, 1B, 7C and 1D. Great stuff!

If you see me before Friday’s mock exams you can collect a new module 1 and 3 exam that you haven’t yet seen. Pass on this message to your classmates.

New Video Lessons

January 26, 2007

I have managed to make 4 new video lessons and they are uploaded onto YouTube and viewable from this site. There are 2 new lessons for Business Studies pupils – one on liquidity ratios and one on marketing plans. For Economics A-Level pupils there are also 2 new lessons, on monopoly as market failure and on whether current account deficits can cure themselves through a currency depreciation. Click on “video lessons” to the right, under “pages”, and scroll down to them. The total hits for these videos is now close to 900 – that’s great news. I hope they are useful.
